Finishing the facade is one of the most important events. It depends not only on the appearance, but also on the operational characteristics of the building. One way to quickly and efficiently cope with the task - to use front panels for exterior decoration of the house. They are different, from different materials with different characteristics and vernal appearance.

Types of facade panels
Facade panels for exterior finishing of the house - a solid group of materials with different technical characteristics, made of different materials. To choose, one must at least approximately represent their appearance, features and properties.
For finishing facades of private houses
Not all facade panels are used for facing private houses. It's not that it's impossible, but that they do not fit, and almost everything in appearance. Another reason - the complexity of installation and high cost. Today, you can find the following facade panels for exterior finishing of houses of different types. All of them are listed below.
All well-known finishing material in the form of long slats, mounted on the frame. There are traditional varieties painted in one of the colors, there is an imitation of timber, logs, brickwork.
This is the most accessible material for finishing the facade of the house, but it is too thin, has a low resistance to mechanical damage. Another nuance - the sunny side fades, and not everyone likes the look.
The socle siding is also made of polymers - PVC (vinyl), polypropylene. Produced in the form of panels in a rectangular shape, some with locks along the edges. Basically, imitate a brickwork of different colors and textures, wild or faceted stone.
The mass from which the socle facade panels are formed is colored in mass, so scratches and other damages do not differ from the front surface. From the facade siding differ not only in shape and price (more expensive), but also with a greater thickness (20-30 mm, versus 15 mm) and a more plausible imitation of stone or brick.
Fiber-cement facade panels for exterior decoration of the house
Fibrocement is an environmentally friendly material that is made from a mixture of fiber (fine synthetic fibers) and cement. From the mass, boards or slabs are formed, after which they are painted. They are invented in Japan, because they are also called "Japanese facade slabs."
Disadvantages - a large mass and color of the surface layer (on the deep scales visible cement base). Dignity - the material does not burn and combustion does not support. Speaking about the price, the Japanese plates are expensive, but there are analogues of Chinese and domestic production with more loyal prices. Chinese, A-Vent, by the way, have a good quality. The firm has long been on the market, reviews are mostly good.
WPC (wood-polymer composite)
The wood that has been ground to fibers is mixed with the liquid polymer, a dye is added. From the received weight form plates or boards (a lining, a plank). This material is used not only for finishing the facades, it is made of flooring near the pool, in the gazebo, on the open veranda.
In appearance, and even on tactile sensations, the wood-polymer composite is very similar to wood. The difference is that these "boards" do not need to be painted or varnished. They retain their original appearance for a long time. The disadvantage is a lot of money and a high price. But they are durable, because they are painted in mass, chips and damages (if any) are not visible.
The appearance of this material is known to everyone, since a thinner version is used for finishing the floor. Facade porcelain stoneware is more thick and large.
Facing the facade with ceramic granite has significant disadvantages: heavy weight, difficulty cutting and mounting, which entails a high cost of installation work. And this is a plus to the fact that the material itself is far from cheap. The disadvantages can also be attributed too pompous appearance, so that the architecture should be appropriate. And so, the finishing of the house with ceramic-granite facade slabs is beautiful, durable, resistant to climatic factors.
This is a multi-layer material. On the layer of OSB (there is not always) a layer of insulation (polystyrene foam) is glued, and thin clinker tile is applied to it. There is a variant only of expanded polystyrene and clinker. Produced in the form of rectangular blocks with serrated edges.
The material is not cheap, but at the same time durable and attractive externally. In addition, simultaneously with the finishing, the heat-insulating characteristics are improved. This is the only material that goes with the heater at the same time, because it is called the front thermal pane.
So which is better?
It is definitely impossible to say which of the listed materials is better. In appearance, many of them are similar, although there are exceptions. For example, porcelain stoneware or facade siding has little to do with it. But all the rest have a similar flowering. So in this matter, you have to rely on your own preferences.
As for the operational properties of the obvious favorites, too. All have features and disadvantages. So by these parameters it is necessary to select front panels for exterior finishing of the house, depending on the properties of the material from which the house is built and the need for heat / wind / sound insulation.
For example, the vapor-permeable walls are better for finishing without foam. He does not conduct moisture. Absolutely. In this regard, the use of clinker thermal panels is undesirable. No, it is possible to add vapor-insulating material from the inside. Steam insulation will block the access of moisture inside the wall, with the finish everything will be fine. But moisture will remain inside the room. To remove it you need a powerful ventilation system, and its device is an expensive pleasure. And it needs to be designed at the design stage of the house. So the thermopanels can be used on houses made of wood or aerated concrete only if they are installed on the lathing. Direct mounting on the wall disappears.
If we talk about cost. Of all the listed, the cheapest way of finishing is the facade siding. Next for the price - socle siding, fiber cement slabs and KDP. And the most expensive are porcelain stoneware and clinker façade panels.
For decoration of industrial buildings and offices
In this section we list the front panels, which are more often used for the design of offices, production, trading or warehouse buildings. This does not mean that they can not be used for a private house or cottage. Just look at them is not too suitable for "home" in the broadest sense. But at home with non-standard architecture - in the style of techno, minimalism and other similar - it's very possible to finish. They will look even more unusual.
- Metal panels. Produced in the form of rectangular or square blocks of different sizes. Make them of steel or aluminum. Steel is cheaper, but prone to corrosion. Aluminum does not corrode, but is expensive. This type of facade panels for private houses is also used in connection with their "noisiness", which makes them the least attractive of the whole group.
